In addition to his responsibilities of servicing Activus’s clients, Robert is also responsible for a wide range of investment activities that include asset allocation strategy, investment manager recommendations and the portfolio construction process.
Robert is an accomplished investment executive with over 20 years experience in investment management and advisory activities across large Australian superannuation funds and institutional investors.
Prior to establishing Activus, Robert founded Brightstone Capital Advisors, a firm that provided investment advisory services to Australian superannuation, institutional and high net worth investors. Before then, at Australia's largest corporate superannuation fund, he managed the $1 billion Global Private Markets and $2.5 billion Global Shares portfolios.
Prior to that, Robert was an Investment Consultant at JANA Investment Advisors providing investment advice to large industry and corporate super funds, charities and private wealth clients totalling $20 billion. Prior to joining JANA, Robert worked in London with INVESCO, IMS (Investment Manager Selection), and Threadneedle Investments.
Robert holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting & Law) from Victoria University and has a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance & Investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australia (FINSIA).
Steve’s responsibilities include asset allocation strategy, investment manager recommendations and the portfolio construction process. Steve is also chair of the Activus Investment Committee.
Steve is one of the longest serving Chief Investment Officers in Australia with more than 25 years of investment experience across large Australian superannuation funds and institutional investors. Steve was Chief Investment Officer at IOOF, where he was responsible for the funds management division, comprising $17 billion in investments.
He was inducted into The Rainmaker Selecting Super Awards Hall of Fame for his 25 years of service in the Superannuation industry. He also received the prestigious Lonsec ‘Icon’ award and the top ranking from ratings agency Chant West. He won the Multi-Sector Fund of the Year 2016 at the Lonsec/Money Management Awards.
Steve is a member of the Investment Committee for the Baker Heart & Diabetes Institute and the Walter & Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research.
